About PIAS

After being asked many times to “Play it again... Sam” — it birthed Play It Again Sam Productions.

Known for his depth of production experience, Sam has always strived to be knowledgeable of every aspect of Advertising production.

From early days with television shows such as Beyond 2000, Just For The Record and the video board game ‘Nightmare’ with A Couple A’ Cowboys, he’s been driven to understand the more technocratic aspects of production.

From the get go; Advertising always held keen fascination for him which led him to join John Singleton Advertising and be teamed with Alan Morris. Being a production all-rounder he creatively collaborated with Alan ‘Mo’ Morris and contributed greatly to Singleton’s (now Ogilvy) enviable new business record.

Producing, directing, editing and problem solving on a multitude of clients; with some of Australia’s most renown creatives was a rewarding experience. Highlights include: The Who’s Who of News for Channel Nine, Qantas, The 93 ALP Federal Elections and Lion Nathan just to name a few.

Sam loves producing and it shows in every job he does; be it TV commercials, promo’s, TV shows, activations & content.

Kind words

What clients & creatives say.

“In the 44 years that I’ve been representing major talent in Hollywood, we’ve probably been involved in more than 30 major ad campaigns on behalf of our actor clients. That said, I’ve never had a more professional, effective, efficient or more pleasant experience than the one lead from beginning to end by Sam Yeomans on behalf of Menulog with our client Jeff Goldblum. There wasn’t a single detail overlooked in any way. In fact, Sam and his team went way beyond our expectations on all levels.”
Keith Addis Managing Partner, Industry Entertainment (Jeff Goldblum’s manager) Menulog × Jeff Goldblum
“Sam is a great producer who has had a significant hand in the success of all my campaigns over the last few years. His attention to detail is second to none and his ability to solve problems quickly enabled a speed to market that is unprecedented. I would highly recommend Sam to any organization.”
Gabriella Suchard Strategic Marketing Innovation Specialist Tomorrow’s Sydney
“Sam and I worked on a major campaign in Sydney over a number of weeks and I found his pre-planning, execution and professionalism exemplary. Sam had a great overview of not only the pre production and post, but also the nuances of on-location logistics. Possibly Sam’s greatest strength is his interpersonal skills, which are so important when wrangling so many departments while maintaining a clear direction of a campaign.”
Peter Maddison Executive Director, Maddison Architects Tomorrow’s Sydney
“R U OK? engaged Sam and his team to produce our Reconnect short film series in the lead up to R U OK?Day 2016. Despite working with a tight budget, and almost impossible timeframes, Sam delivered outstanding content for R U OK? and was just brilliant to deal with. One of our favourites in the short film series was the reconnection of two old uni mates — Frank and Warwick.”
Brendan Maher CEO, R U OK? R U OK? Reunions
“To say that he was the Senior Producer of the 2016 R U OK?Day ad campaign would be a gross understatement. He did that plus advised on talent selection; made directorial suggestions; copy edits; managed my sanity — while also pulling together the best production crew one could hope for. Sam — thank you. I feel so tremendously proud of what we achieved.”
Rebecca Lewis Head of Strategy, Breakthrough Media R U OK? Reunions
“Sam Yeomans is one of the most well respected integrated producers I’ve had the pleasure to work with. With the attitude to champion creative and the ability to be smart with money, he is a great asset. He is the most well connected person in the business, earning him the nickname ‘Yellow Pages’. I would highly recommend Sam for any agency looking for an integrated producer — and when I return to Australia, I’ll be giving him a call to take him away from your agency.”
John Koay Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy Qantas Hong Kong
“I don’t use the term “miracle worker” lightly, but what Sam was able to achieve for us on the VMware Conversations in the Cloud project was nothing short of that. With a tight timeline and an even tighter budget, he knew exactly who to get on board to deliver a result that literally blew our client away.”
Simon Bloomfield Creative Director VMware
“Sam is a highly experienced Broadcast Production professional and was an invaluable colleague at The Campaign Palace. Thanks to the depth of his experience, a number of TV production challenges were met and dealt with, seemingly effortlessly. I thoroughly recommend Sam to any agency looking for the real benefits of experience.”
Bruce Davidson Formerly Group Account Director, JWT Sydney & The Campaign Palace Care Careers
“In my 20-odd years in advertising, very rarely have I run into someone like Sam Yeomans… Most of all, he is a good bloke. I wish him well in his freelance business and look forward to becoming his biggest client.”
Alan ‘Mo’ Morris Creative Director, John Singleton Advertising Reference letter
“Sam is very reliable. I feel a job given to him is as good as done… Even under the most stressful, work-intensive circumstances, he comes up with the goods, with a smile on his face.”
Siimon Reynolds Executive Director, Singleton Advertising Reference letter
